She's definitely not happy. but I think i'll name her Lesley.
also, (kinda dumb) but it drives me crazy when I see art of a character working on a car or as a mechanic... and they're holding a pipe wrench, aka monkey wrench. no self respecting mechanic has a pipe wrench in their tool box! at least a hammer would be a funny joke.

yeah, we had a big bar with two or three of us pulling on it and we actually ended up just dragging the ass end of my Suburban about a foot to the side cause it was parked on the grass. I really don't remember how we got it off, but it did eventually budge. Sucks cause it used to be a 2" drop hitch and I flipped the ball over so I could tow a low down uhaul car trailer with it, so now it raises the ball up higher, but now with my new suspension I can barely use it for anything. I have tried but can't get that damn ball loose again. Oh well guess I'm stuck with it now lol
Yeah my brother and I were yanking on mine. The nut broke free just enough to make the ball spin and then seized up again. Then again it's a 4cyl so I don't even know what I would tow with it anyway. What kind of suspension upgrade did you do to your 'Burb? Lift it or just add heavier springs?
Nothing crazy just a 2" rough country kit, all springs no blocks.
I wanted to replace the old worn out suspension anyway since it's almost 30 years old and also wanted something a little stiffer for towing/hauling. I originally was just gonna get some lightly used 3/4 ton stuff but it ended up being cheaper just to get the lift kit.
Came with 4 new leafs (much beefier than stock), all new bushings, u-bolts, all 6 gas shocks, and drop brackets so I can use the stock sway bar for about $150 cheaper than it would have been to get junkyard 3/4 ton stuff and 4 regular shocks from the parts store.

RC makes good economy lift kits. A lot of Jeepers bitch about them but Jeeps get spoiled by companies like Clayton and Synergy making Jeep-exclusive parts. And good on you for avoiding blocks. There's a Silverado in my town sitting on what look like 10" rear blocks. I don't even know how it's springs haven't wrapped yet.
Yeah I probably wouldn't get it from them for a serious wheeling rig, but for what I needed on the burb it worked plenty fine. And yeah blocks are pretty stupid. I had an old yota that I used 2" blocks on the rear but that was also in addition to bigger springs and (unfortunately) 2" body. It was the only way to reasonably lift it for the amount of money I had, but those guys you see with 4-6"+ blocks are just asking for problems. Literally all you're doing is spacing your axle out farther on your weak stock springs for more leverage to break shit when the time comes.
Lol we used my buddy's (which years later turned into mine) ZR2 Blazer to tow a full size car trailer with a lifted truck on it a good 80-90 across the state. It was a V6 and automatic but still in no way equipped to take on such a task. The trailer pushed us around a little but the thing took it like a champ. Trucks are meant to be abused, especially ones with bowties on 'em ;)
