I kin of imagined something happening between the two of them when they first showed them on the film as kids, but it was more like Judy convincing Gideon to give back the tickets and Judy has a talk with him to see why he was a bully and he would say why ad break down crying than Judy hugged him and he hugged her back which comforted him.
The sun shone down hotly, but a fresh breeze blew through the fields carrying the scent of freshly dug earth and summer flowers. Somewhere in the distance someone was baking pie. The two figures lay under the tree, watching the clouds float by so far above in silence. A lot had been said, a lot had been done. All in an afternoon. Now it was time to take a break.
'This... this is nice.'
'Nicer than taking people's stuff?'
'...yeah.'
Nothing else was said, there wasn't really a need for it. The clouds scudded across the sky and the sun followed a slower path behind them. There would be a lot of work soon; thinning season was coming up, and it looked like rain later in the week. But for now everything was perfect, in its own way. This moment would have to end, sometime. But not just yet.
