Another image Vrghr has been terribly remiss about posting.

First the little girl tempts the big "bad" wolf with cookies, then she brings him home to mom, asking, as children will everywhere, "Can I keep him?"
Poor mom! What a dilemma! How do you say 'yes' to keeping a beast like that at your house? On the other paw, how do you send a monster like that on his way, and risk upsetting him (not to mention the sweet little girl at his side, who doesn't seem to see any problem with keeping such an over-sized 'puppy' as a pet!).
Wuffy, of course, it quite amused by all of it! That little scrap of cord wrapped about his neck is definitely not the reason he's 'leashed' to the girl beside him. Such a sweet, innocent child can even touch a 'monster's' heart. And the possibility of more cookies certainly doesn't hurt the situation either! *grins*
Leilryu did an utterly amazing job on this scene. She claimed creating the house and such was quite a challenge for her, and something she hadn't tried before. But wuff sure can't see any signs of that here! The lovely use of color, light and shadow. The homey touches, the splashes of color in the yard and bushes.
The expressions on all three are so perfect! And what a wonderful, wonderful job in rendering that huge dragonwolf next to a normal sized human and her young child! How tough that must have been to fit it all in the shot and make it all work!
Needless to say, Vrghr just adores this picture!
Makes Vrghr want to continue the saga of the "big bad wolf" and his newfound friend! What adventures they could have together! And what mischief! Most children can't reach out and touch their "make-believe friends" of childhood, let alone ride them down a snowy hillside as a sled in winter. *smiles*
But Vrghr would be thrilled to play "Puff" to her "Jackie Paper"; he is part dragon, after all, even if he's a bit furrier (and rounder) than some! *chuckles*
So, if your young'en showed up at YOUR door with such a critter in tow, would YOU say "yes"??
By the way, if you're not already watching
leilryu, WHY NOT????? Look at the lovely art she produces!

He'd break the budget in cookies alone! *laughs*
Then again, wait til they find out he knows how to cook! *grins* And, being a predator at heart, he might even be able to provide a good portion of his own "ingredients" - long as no one asks too closely about where he found that rack of lamb, or the fresh venison! *giggles*
