i lived in a place like that. with the ski lodges and lifts on both sides of us. between soda springs and the sugar bowl on top of donner summint. in the sierra nevada mountains in northern california.

well i don't live there anymore, but i used to see a lot of idiots park their cars in the middle of the road so the snow plows couldn't get through, or the the snow plows would find them the hard way, because they're cars were so completely burried in the snow, AND in the middle of the road, and the snow so deep the plow operators had no idea they were there. we had these kind of rotary snowplows for the road, that would crunch little cars real good until the jamed up and bent the blades, and then the road would be closed for a week because of it. ski bunnies as they were called, were, a lot of them, not really very brilliant people. they'd come up from the cities in the valley and not really understand about snow and cold and all that. so to answer your quesion, bassically sort of yes, and then, when the ski-doos started becoming a thing, they'd drive them down the middle of the railroad tracks, where they would loose an argument with a train if they ever got into one. my dad was towerman for the railroad there on donner summit, at a place called norden, which yah, as i mentioned.

It's like lemmings or something! o.o

The creature in the cave probably had the lift constructed for this very reason.
