But what happens when a dragon is forced to leave its kind and live among humans? As one dragon is about to discover, life can be a lot more difficult when one has to share its territory with them.

This story was originally inspired by this parody news article I posted way back when--and in fact I wrote this story way back when, too; I actually wrote it in April of last year. The only inconsistency between the two is that this changes the key verb of that article from "eats" to "kills" as the dragon I imagined for this story isn't really large enough to eat multiple humans in one go. Where Ian's narrative mentions the picture of the 25-foot dragon that means the overall nose-to-tailtip length of the dragon is 25 ft, which equates to about 6 ft. tall at the shoulder and maybe 30 ft. in wingspan.
For those of you tired of the dragon being so ambiguously referred to, don't worry, that will change in the next chapter. In fact during the revising process I thought about removing the ambiguity entirely, but decided not to for reasons that are entirely unclear to me.
