Purity vs. Pragmatism
Yeah, I know, taking a picture of blue models on a blue background is a shitty idea, just bear with me for a second :V
So I thought I'd show a little contrast between the sects of my homebrew chapter, and the only units I have completed which can demonstrate this are my Sternguard squads.
So, on the left, you have the puritanical sect (counts-as Black Templars on the tabletop), who believe that the desperation of their chapter is no excuse for their reliance on mutants and apocryphal rituals. They make up the entirety of 2nd Company, under the ostensible leadership of the chapter's high chaplain, Xipe Totec (though he is still beholden to the orders of their current chapter master, Tezcatlipoca).
On the right, you have the pragmatic sect (counts-as White Scars), who, due to their chapter being nearly at Lamenters levels of under-strength, aren't too picky about their methods of war. Though not in the least bit trusting over their mutated brethren, they still allow themselves to be placed shoulder-to-shoulder with them during battle, and don't exclude them from their pre-battle rites.

Yup-yup, all of my HQ's and characters have Nahuatl names from the Meso-American pantheon, and the planets under their control are named after the original Nahuatl names of cities in modern-day Mexico. It is partially for cultural diversity, part because I have a hard-on for jaguar-print and Aztec aesthetics, and part because the vast majority of the names I picked are unbelievably hard to pronounce x3
