This is a before shot of my guest bathroom, currently being used by my Mom. After my Dad passed away in 2004, I had her move in with me so I could keep an eye on her, a strategy that paid off when she had a heart attack in 2006 and broke her ankle a few years ago.

However, at A Certain Age she is starting to have a bit of trouble getting over the side of the tub to get a shower.

The remedy is to rip out the tub and make the bathroom more ADA-compliant by putting in a shower stall.

So, the stage is set, the orchestra engaged. Allons-y!
