Better break out your napkins and drool rags. *giggles*

During the holidays, Vrghr and his roomie had been going over to a local friend's house to create special holiday meals for friends and family. It turns out that her birthday falls on Valentine's Day.

So wuff and Roomie decided to give her a surprise - a special meal for both a birthday and Valentine's Day treat! We told her that we were come coming over to do a little "Valentine's thing", and then took over her kitchen and dining room, and put on a big extravaganza for her!

She really loves seafood, so Vrghr created this lovely surf-and-turf plate as the centerpiece of the feast. There's a broiled "fluffed" shrimp-stuffed lobster tail. Broiled Sweet Chili-Garlic Glazed Scallops & Shrimp on a bed of Saffron Rice. And Butter Basted Garlic & Herb Boneless Ribeye Steak.

Not pictured are the Vanilla & Lavender Panna Cotta w/Macerated Strawberries dessert. And a Cheese & Olive assortment for appetizers consisting of garlic-stuffed and blue-cheese stuffed olives, and small wedges of Blueberry Wensleydale, Red Dragon Mustard Seed & Ale Cheddar, and Hombolt Fog cheeses.

Vrghr just wanted to commemorate the occasion by posting up this lovely bit of "food porn".

Wuffv has previously posted the recipes for the Panna Cotta and the Stuffed Fluffed Lobsters, and you can find those in wuff's gallery. Wuff will add the recipes for the broiled scallops and the butter-basted steak soon! The saffron rice came from a package mix, so no recipe for that one.
