HEAD
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the head of the costume. If you are reviewing only a set of ears, your answers would also go in this section.Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear this piece of your costume.
Are you satisfied with how it fits you? How is the ventilation? How is the vision?
The head itself is very comfortable to wear; nothing pokes or stabs at all, however it is not lined fully. The whole eye area is not lined, and I have the foam in my face, which I am a bit disappointed about. It just doesn't seem so professional.
The ventilation is actually really good. I can breathe perfectly fine and as the jaw is open, the hot air gets out and the cold gets in. Ventilation went over my expectations.
On the sale post, the vision was said to be amazing, however, it wasn't. The vision is VERY limited, and it reminds me of the vision in a resin head. I have to move my head a lot to get an idea of my surroundings. However, there is no blind spot, so that is a plus.
Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume piece looks from the outside.
How is the symmetry? Is the shaving even? How does the fur feel and look? How satisfied are you with the overall expression and appearance of the head? Does it match the concept art?
The markings are pretty simple, so everything is very symmetrical. The jaw is crooked, though. It looks very off and kinda ruins it a bit for me. I could not see this in the pictures of the head.
When I was buying it, Sarahcat stated in the description that the backing was visible some places on the head, however, its not very much, so I'm quite satisfied there.
There are a few hot glue smears on the muzzle.
The head is grumpy and lazy-looking, which I really love. I like how it looks overall.
Special Attachments and Features
Please describe how satisfied you are with any extra features your head has.
What are they and how do they work? How easy are they to wear? How is the quality?
The head is easily slipped on and off and is easy to wear. I don't need help with getting it on. The neck is short, I can tuck it into a shirt/hoodie, but it will undo itself as soon as I move my head. This is disappointing, as I really think it ruins the magic to have the neck of a fursuit head not tucked in on a partial.
There are some flaws on the head;
The nose was, after one, three hour long outing, halfway fallen off on one side. I had to reglue it back on, which was easily done. (Picture of the other side, where I haven't glued it back on: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qjr2emha4.....53623.jpg?dl=0 )
There are two holes by the base of the ears, one on each side, where I can touch the foam. There is also two more holes in the mouth where I can stick my finger in and touch the foam base.
The fur doesn't seem to be fully glued down on the base, I can lift the fur with two fingers multiple places at the head, an example would be between the eyes.
One of the eyes isn't glued down completely too, I can stick a finger in between the fur and eye, all the way in, so I can touch the buckram. (Picture: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ykd13cspp.....53617.jpg?dl=0 )
HANDS AND FEET
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the hands and feet of the costume.Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear these pieces of your costume.
How satisfied are you with how the hands and feet fit? How is the quality and durability? What is the interior like?
The handpaws were HUUUGE. I couldn't have them on without them sliding off. I think she should have stated in her description that they were a fit for large-Xlarge hands. My hands are medium sized.
Since they had no paw pads, I gave them to another maker who would add paw pads and make them a little smaller. When she turned them inside out to sew them, the claws fell right off. They were barely glued on, she said, which I can agree with, as I could feel that the claws weren't glued that much down while I was wearing them.
They weren't sewn very well either, they were very basic and simple sewn. That goes for all of the suit, its all sewn the same way. I'm afraid a seam will pop soon, because its so basic sewn. How is the symmetry? Is the shaving even? How does the fur feel and look? How satisfied are you with the selection of colors and materials used?
They are rather big, but after the paw pads were added, they look much better. There's a lot of space in the fingers, so they mostly just flop around when I wear them, which is rather sad.
Special Attachments and Features
Please describe how satisfied you are with any extra features your hands or feet have. This includes UV reactivity, EL wire, uniquely placed squeakers or padding, or any special articulation.
This can also include special ways of attachment to the bodysuit if they were not described elsewhere, such as: special hands with holes, magnet attachment, etc.
What are the features and how do they work? How easy are they to wear? How is the quality?
The quality of the paws is definitely not the best. They are pretty cumbersome too, due to the hugeness of them.
TAILS
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the tail(s) of the costume.Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear these pieces of your costume.
How satisfied are you with how the tail(s) fit? How is the quality and durability?
The tail is nicely stuffed, its very wag-able, and super soft. It only got one belt loop though, making it a bit difficult to wear, as I am used to two belt loops. The number of belt loops were written in description. The base of the tail looks pretty awkward though, since there's a black piece of fabric closing the tail, and not fur.

How satisfied are you with how well everything fits together and matches up?
Do you markings match up at the seams? Are the colors consistent?
The colours are very nice, so are the markings. It fits together very nicely look-wise.
MAKER INTERACTION AND COMMISSION PROCESS
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with all the aspects of communication between you and the maker. How satisfied are you with how easy it was to initially contact the maker for a quote?
It was easy to contact them to buy the suit.
How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
How long did it take them to respond?
The response time was very quick, which was nice.
How satisfied are you with the level of professionalism and friendliness of the maker?
Were they pleasant to work with?
Now this is why I didn't go to my maker.
Her overall attitude made me very uncomfortable, for some reason. She answered all of my questions, but she seemed like I was wasting her time. This feeling she gave me made me iffy about contacting her again, after my first outing with that suit where I got dizzy fast. I suspected there might be dutch tape inside the head, but I didn't ask her, because her attitude made me uncomfortable.
(There aren't dutch tape inside, as I've worn it again without becoming dizzy)
How satisfied are you with how the deadline was met for completion of your project?
Were any deadlines missed or was it done early?
N/A
How satisfied are you with the overall quality of your project?
Its decent quality, some minor flaws that pull down on the score, but it is wearable and cute, so not disappointed.
How satisfied are you with the overall customer service with the maker?
I feel that it could be worked on. I didn't feel completely comfortable and welcome.
Describe your experience. What were the pros and cons of working with this maker? And any final comments?
Considering her age of 16, she did a good job, but there's a lot of place for improvement. It was a neutral experience, and I wouldn't mind buying again if she improved.
I think she have the potential of becoming a great and big maker, so I'll definitely be following her and I hope she will read this review and use it for improving.

Attitude/communication seems to be the biggest issue with this maker as I've a friend who also said the maker's tone wasn't pleasant. With the vision though, I wonder why they would say it was so great when it was actually pretty poor? Could possible all their suits have vision like this and it's just their norm in comparison to other's toony suits. The crooked jaw, partly lined inside, stitching and holes shouldn't be a thing when paying $500 for a partial, but at least they're minor things that were easy fixes.
In the end though, glad to hear you're generally happy with the suit!

Yeah, I really love the maker's style but I did not like her attitude. It was, as I wrote, pretty unpleasant and definitely something she needs to work with.
I was also rather surprised with the vision when I first put it on. I couldn't really feel/sense whenever someone wants my attention when I suit, due to the very tunnel-like vision.
I really don't know how to fix the jaw on the suit though. It was very disappointing to see how crooked it was when I unboxed it. Its the biggest flaw look-wise imo.
Well, it is wear-able and its not a catastrophe, so I am happy to use it :)

:( Sorry to hear about your experience, what really sticks a pin in me is that you didn't feel comfortable telling me the mistakes because I come across as intimidating. I really try not to be and I could give you reasons why but it's petty/nobody will care; in the future please let me know so I can fix errors rather than keep replicating them. And if I come across as mean, let me know. You were really nice to me with the emails and Twitter messages we sent so I'm not entirely sure where you felt uncomfortable? (Was it when you wanted me to send it as a gift? Because I later found out that it's illegal for me to do that so you'll be the first and last one to have a package sent as "gift")
I'm not sure if it's noted on there or not but this was also a pre-designed fursuit so the whole thing wasn't built to fit a specific person like a custom one would be.
Thank you for your review!

Thank you for your review!
I'm really bad at telling people when I feel uncomfortable, so that is a mistake from my side of this to not tell you. I can explain the whole situation about the uncomfortableness over FA Notes/Twitter (whichever you prefer), since I don't want to shove it out in public, as I feel that its not necessary for that to happen.
I'm also curious to hear about your reasons, if you feel alright with sharing them with me.
I'd like to point out that I actually really enjoy the suit, and I do wear it. Despite the few errors as the stitching and crooked jaw, I still love the suit.
Again, feel free to write to me in private.

My reasons are petty.
Were the reasons for the crooked jaw and stitching mentioned in the original auction? Because I know $500 is low compared to what I charged for other partials at the time, I feel like there was a reason for it or something. I've talked to a lot of people since and sold other things so unfortunately I can't really remember at the moment.
I feel really bad now so I'm sorry. :(

I don't think they were mentioned. I remember that you mentioned that the fur was shaved too close to the backing (which really isn't that big an issue at all, I barely notice it) but that was it.
A quick look at the FurBuy auction of this suit says: 'The price is discounted due to my clippers eating at the olive fur, the backing visible in some spots if you look up close. I tried my best to fix this. This does not impact the comfort or ease of wear of the suit.'
And its okay, really ^^ I know you're young, you will definitely improve. As I mentioned in my review, I look forward to seeing it.

Using thin winter gloves underneath can REALLY help giant paws stay on. No need to sew them in or anything. Plus, you can wash the gloves easily, which is helpful for people who's hands sweat like crazy when suiting.

"there's a black piece of fabric closing the tail, and not fur."
That's normal though, it's uncommon to not have this? It's so the tail rests against your body, I made a tail without a flat backing and it would always turn to one side, you need the flat part so it's straight.
Also damn those were some basic seams, an easy fix though to just go over them again to ensure nothing pops. :)

Yup! I switched to using a flat backing for that reason.
I'm embarrassed to admit this but I self taught myself a basic stitch and learned a blanket stitch from my mother. While everything's handsewn and I use upholstery thread for most things (haven't had anything pop yet), if there's a better stitch out there I'd love to know about it.

Oh no worries! I was taught by my mom too and the rest I learned on my own or google.
I personally don't know which stitch is best for fursuits as I have not furred my own head yet but only the first picture of the three they showed looked a bit far away? I could be wrong though I'm on mobile at the moment !~ I do however recommend if you don't already, double stitch or even quad stitch your stuff if you're worried about special areas that are prone to popping or might be rough housed
