So skinny, so rebellious. I like this character! I also had more fun than i should have with that stupid background. I paint all the gradients in my stuff rather than use filters. :B
I played with twisting my style here and streeeetching out the character to get even more of a lanky, stick-figure look for him. It was fun. :D

I don't think Sai actually has a gradient option, I've certainly never been able to find it ;_; the airbrush and soft brush tools are versatile enough, though, that one really doesn't need it.

I used to do gradients by filter in PSP years ago... though, I used to do -everything- in PSP years ago. Nowadays I only use it for post-production shit and manipulating things I've already drawn, assembling characters with their backgrounds in more complex pieces, and things like that. and photomanip stuff that nobody sees in the furry neck of the internet.
