Have you seen the show? It's very difficult to track down (not on DVD to my knowledge) but it's excellent.

That is an indescribably SWEET bedroom. Of course... for most of 1983 my bedroom was an oxygen tent in a hospital... though technically I did wet the bed there, it was hardly unexpected given my age.

In 1983 I had my own bedroom, kind of hard not to being an only child. I was 11 years old. I did get a C-64 for Christmas that year which I then had as my sole computer for the next six years. It was in the basement part of the time, then in the office, then in my bedroom, then in the office again. :3

We were pretty solidly middle class. Some of my friends were richer than we were but I never starved or anything. By the age of 15 I had a part time job and contributed to the family finances.
