You see a pic in the gallery and hit the fave button. As you turn to leave you see a wolfox sitting on the floor beside the exit. He is sitting behind a sign and holds his hat out while giving you puppy dog eyes. Will you help him?
Pic is self explanatory. Will be upgraded later. Going to be my ID.

Have you tried posting the story and picture separate? like post the story in your scraps and the submission in your main or vise versa? personally i watch 2100 furs so when i get home around mid day i have a lot and i mean a lot of submissions to go through (200-300) and if there is a story i'll save it for later if i don't have time for it but if its a picture i'll fave and dash mainly because a picture only captures a split second of a whole story and i don't really need more then a glance >w< that's just me personally i'm not sure about the others that watch you and you have to remember not everyone reads the description anyways >.<
i am a writer. there is a story that goes with 95% of what I post and is always located in the description. and when people fave and don't comment i actually beg them in a shout to check it out. i'm pretty sure you've seen the shout from me. "Thanks for the fave. Art credit goes to *insert artist name here* I hope you will please also take the time to check out the short story I've written in the description of the pic as well." I don't think splitting them up would do much other than crowd my gallery and probably cement that I can probably count the amount of people who actually read my writing on my fingers. which is depressing as a writer since i have over 1,000 watchers.
Well in the end it's intirely up to you, but like you said your a writer so when you post a picture it's most likely going to be a commission people will have to look for your name to know it's you to actually take the time to look at the description, the fave button is right under the pic most people don't have to scroll to far to fave where as to actually see there something in the description they have to scroll just that little extra bit, but again untimely up to you
Again. I usually point out in a shout when thanking for the fave that there is a story in the description and link back to the pic in question. People still don't take the time to read. I have no interest in taking double the time to post twice to see concretely just how few people will read a story. At least I can delude myself into thinking that there are those out there that simply read and not comment right now.
Well i have 100 watchers and i mainly post pictures of my dog but when i post a story it'll get roughly 30 or 40 views if im lucky in math thats 30-40% and usually i wont get a comment at all unless i know the person commenting pretty well and of my watchers most arent watching me for my stories so thats a pretty go chunk so lets say 35% of your watchers read your stories thats 446 views or 50% thats 500+ views im pretty sure there are a lot more comments in those 400-500 views about your story then in any of your picture submissions but hey you know it might not be worth your time
