In Argentina, we call it "Arenita" (Sand Little)

Because in Latin America, we tried to kinda directly translate the name: "Sandy Cheeks" became "Arenita Mejillas", thought the pun of the name got lost a little.

here, "Sandy" translates as "Arenosa"

but I see that "Sandy" also means "Arenita"

I confuse me xD

I think it might have been because in Spanish we don't have any proper namename that could make sand pun work, so they just turned "arenosa" into a noun getting "Arenita"
