I payed a visit to IWM Duxford, there they have the classics and the Jets of the RAF, USAF, Luftwaffe, Russian and other countries. Duxford was home to the first squadron of Spitfires during the battle of Briton and later one of the many homes of the mighty 8th.

The lightning sure was a unique plane. This is the first time I'd really realized where it's internal cannon was.

Its cannon was placed at the top of the aircraft so it was easier to aim, compared to other aircraft its weapon system was outdated but it was very manoeuvrable .
