She who knows the raven
Is quick to find a haven
For in the dark of night
She often sees feathers bright
You know, this combined with you other two avian submissions really shows your skills with a brush, paint, and composition. Each one is unique and each ones shows a set of painting skills that are to be admired. The use of watercolor on this one gives a wonderful feels and energy. Speckling the black really helps unify the subject and a simple background. ^_^
Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore.
"Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou," I said, "art sure no craven,
Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the Nightly shore —
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!"
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
