I introduce you to my precious little red/tri-color Papillon, Hope. She's a little angel, seemingly sent to my family to help us recover from the death of our Yorkie.

On August 5th, 2008, we were forced to put our beloved 17-year-old Yorkie, Raspberry, to sleep after he suffered a stroke. It was extremely hard on all of us, and immediately we noticed how weird it was to live in a house with no dog. On Memorial Day weekend, we went to a dog show the next town over and met Hope, a sweet, precious Papillon that we all fell in love with. Of course, she wasn't for sale, but we exchanged contact information with her breeder and planned to buy a puppy from her in the future.

Imagine our shock and delight when, only a couple weeks later, the breeder called us and basically said, "Hope hates being a show dog, and I know you love her. Would you like to buy her?" That's how Hope came into our house, and I really think it was Raspberry watching out for us and making sure we found the absolutely perfect dog.

Isn't she adorable? You can't really tell in the picture, but she's actually lying on top of my computer tower! She started crawling up there to get as close to me as possible, so I put one of our smaller throws on top so she could be comfortable. She loves it up there.
