Well this character has been in the works for awhile since I'm such a huge fan of Pokemon. And one day I though "man it might be cool to see a anthro arcanine that looks pretty tough" so instead of drawing some flimsy pretty girl I made a pretty powerful looking one.
Me and Gravy designed a short story we planned on using some pokemorphs in so the whole anthro thing makes a moderate amount of sense. *more on this later*
As a character she's pretty cocky but extremely lazy.. She only fights when she feels like it's worth it because her trainer dosen't have a badge high enough to command her.. She's laid back most of the time, but gets really competetive and aggressive if she sees' someone more powerful than she is. Not to mention she is a complete tease against any male opponents and uses her femeninity to her advantage. ^_^

well I guess you're into big girls ^_^ She actually has the power to get larger too provided the circumstances are right... It's a long story but the flash fire ability is a good thing for girls that like fire. And thanks for the suggestion! I actually had thought of that earlier but it reminded me too much of a charmander I had years ago :3

ahh yeah I thought of ember at first too but it's too common.. As the voting lies it's looking like nina so far.. I appreciate the suggestion but for some reason GInetta reminded me too heavily of that stupid "Gillette" Razor they keep advertising on tv @_@;; just saying it reminds me of their crappy commercials XD

Yunno it's actually surprising how the biggest creatures squeeze into those tiny balls I think Onyx is like 20ft long or something ludicrous like that @_@;; But she is picky so she might want a luxury ball or something XD And thanks for noticing it was in colored pencils! I was suprised that you noticed.
I know right??? Its like some particle shrink ray that red beam that pulls them in, like that robot chicken with pikachu raved in the pokeball XD And yeah, she does look almost like a madonna pokemon like that lol.

Hm... Maybe Wendy, as a reference to the Japanese name (Windie)? Nothing's coming to mind from the names of the statues Arcs are based off of (Fu Lions/Shishi). When I look at her, I think of volcanoes, but I'm not sure what sort of female names one could derive from them. Maybe Volkarie?

I love this comment man! Sorry I've been late on replying.. But it was so much fun to take a dog as big as an Arcanine and make it into an anthro. They're like a combination of Malamute, Tiger, and CLydesdale! SO there's got to be a big Anthro from a combination like that :3

Hehe well the relationship between the two of them is something I'm slowly figuring out. She was abandoned as a growlithe from the trainers Brother because she was too weak. So she became this trainers starter and after an evolutionary glitch *described in the comic* she finds herself a different breed of arcanine. She might pick on him alot but she honestly wouldn't hurt him because she owe's him alot. ^_^ Dang I spend too long on my story stuff..
Thanks ergotth! I apologize for the late response.. Been busy on my end with school :3 I'm happy she appeals to you! It was fun trying to take something like a POkemon and just max her out like this. I actually like the name Xan but for some reason I always named a Ninetails in my party that XD It actually would've confused me too much to name her that when I've been using that name for years on my ninetails. I really liked the Sasha name even though it reminded me of Team fortress 2! ^_^ As of a girly name we actually decided her growlithe name would be something rediculous like Pickles or something. That way once she evolved she'd be like "Umm no way!" and she'd drag her trainers butt to the nearest name rater XD

I guess I feel like I'm ignoring people and I really am just busy and forgetful :3 I used to adore an artist and leave really long and thoughtful comments but she never once replied to a thing I said so It turned me off to her work because she couldn't say thank you at least once. Your comment actually made me think more about climate with her too because I'm sure she is going to love those hot and dry climates. As of the ice cave she'd probably throw a fit. I'd suggest Cait, but that's a friend's Arcanine girl who's a bit different... and not quite so huge =P Different personality entirely.

hmm Cait seems like a great name for a male Arcanine. I guess the four letter words are a nice Precise name *easy to say too* ^^ And I understand the whole intimidation factor for making a really big arcanine girl. I just figured those animals are like horses even non-anthro so she's gotta be a big girl when she's anthro. And nina's personality is a combination of Laziness and Arrogance coupled with some secret compassion. She'll be alot of fun to write about ^^ Thanks for the comment Osiric! I actually do like the name Rebecca but for some reason it kinda reminded me of the show TAILSPIN with that bear lady named Rebecca Cunningham.. haha I think they actually make a *heavy* ball which is used for capturing Rhydons and other heavy pokemon. Might be more roomy for the big girl! ^^ Thanks for the comment Dwulf.
