On a nice stroll past a few berry bushes, we have Polaris who looks to have caught himself a nice meal or perhaps he is carrying another friend in his belly, all while looking for perfect bunch of berries to not only have as a snack, but also to bring some back to his friends to share and enjoy as well~

I would say it's likely both, a meal and a friend at the same time~ Makes for a nice belly to rub at, and carry around.
And he sure would bring berries back for his friends, he'll do a lot to make his friends happy.
