Kirin are supposed to be demure and modest doers of good and lovers of justice, bringers of good fortune, chaste and unassuming. Serine isn't a very good kirin: she's a little bit too fond of adornment and modern, flashy clothes, and tends to take the "love for all creatures" motif in a direction that was probably not intended by her forefathers.

She likes to drink, too--it's easy to imagine her reclining on a bar like this, checking out the crowd.
