What hair are you using for Neal? It may have alternate materials for different hair colors. You could also go to the surface and change it from white on the diffuse color to red, that would redden it up (will likely make it darker, though.)

Which figure are you using for Neal? There may be alternate face textures to make him look a bit older.

Otherwise, much improved! People look more like people, less like plunked down action figures.

Basic hair and Genesis 2 male (and looking 'too young' might be why he wears that beard! )

I'll see if I can't tint it a bit more, darker wouldn't be a bad thing.

Basic Hair comes with materials for different colors, check Daz->People->Genesis 2 Male->Hair->Basic Hair->Materials

You have to have the hair selected in the Scene tab to apply materials to it (you probably already know this, since it's already brown.)

If Cognac or Copper is too bright, you can adjust the diffuse color of the surface darker to darken the hair, or adjust the tinting.

The morphs will let you make him look less generic, and more like Neal.

Was thinking more a one-piece ship-suit on Cindy and the red Wrap was one of Nightsky's little surprises. (As that vest was for G2M and I'm not sure how to re-rig it for chakat forms.)

And I should have saved my work before trying, as trying to parent the vest to the chakat killed DAZ ...

Technician (and maybe artist) rule: Always experiment on a copy.

I was, but if you don't first 'save' everything you've done then the copies die when the main program does ... (was rendering several shades of red ro see which fit Red ...)
