
Hey everyone this is just a little test I did with this amazing model by Scott Sewel. I'm working on making a nude version but am a little stuck in some areas so if any of you are experienced in 3d modeling/texture and fur work, be sure to hit me up! Well the problem i'm having is that there is literally nothing under the clothing mesh. When you remove the clothing, its all empty space where there should be a body underneath. I've thought about a variety of different ways to solve this problem such as re-texturing the clothing to match the fur but i'm having some trouble with that due to the immense detail in the fur. If you have any suggestions, it would be awesome!
well, there's no easy way to do something like that. modelers very rarely build nude models then apply clothes to them when the model is not going to be used as a part of a larger project (as is essentially the case). i don't really know the intricacies of the model (because i'm too lazy to make an account and download it) but there are a lot of things that could get in the way of trying to remove Judy of her clothing here.
Is the head even a part of the same mesh as the body (formed by the clothing)? Is the tail? If not it'll be an absolute pain trying to merge the two forms together. Re-meshing the pelvic region of the pants into genitals? Probably possible but definitely not going to be easy or quick. If you can find a good way to merge the head with the neck part of the shirt the torso probably won't be so hard to deal with because it's near-skintight. None of the things I'm talking about are impossible, so if you're dedicated af you could probably pull something out of it but it will be exponentially faster to simply take the parts of the mesh that are exposed skin/fur (like the paws and face), rip them from the model and remesh the entire body yourself, using what's left of the original as a reference for proportion. That's pretty much the fastest and most effective idea I've got for something like that

Yeah definitely, seeing as how what shes wearing fits so tight, its fairly easy to just merge the clothing with the neck once you delete some of the collar off the shirt. The problem that i'm now experiencing is that when I edit any of the clothing mesh, the rig gets all messed up which is super frustrating! I'm not very good at modeling so its really my only option to possibly get a nude version of this model. Another one of the problems I may have is if I ever do get the body and head connected and the rig working, the fur is going to be pretty tricky to match. If you were ever bored and felt like something to do, I can send you the model if you want but if not that's totally cool too. If not, then I think ill just keep troubleshooting! I'm determined to get this model nude if its the last things I do!
yeah, the rig is stringently dependent on the mesh being the same as it was when it was rigged and merging doesn't really bode to well with that engine. lol
As for the fur you can duplicate a particle system or otherwise apply it to multiple parts of the same mesh, so I don't see why that's a problem. at any rate go ahead and send it to me I'll see what I can do with it

Now, awesome use of the model, I saw it and it's really impressive, she looks as accurate as you can do without stealing the model from Disney somehow.
I really hope you can make the nude model... Will she have nipples/genitals or remind clean as the nudist animals in the movie? ^^

Well right now i'm re texturing the lower pants part of the body and have succeeded in adding fur to the whole bottom area. All I have left to do is figure out how to color the fur properly, because whenever I render, the fur comes out blue. Another thing I still have to do is comb the hair properly.
