I have only one routine, Friday at Geraldine's Diner for a dinner of chop-chop salad and a beer. And I bring my sketchbook to doodle.

My friends have had poms for decades, and they have all been reasonably pleasant beasts, cuddly when they get to know you. However, only one was one of the tiny show size mutants, but she was quite pleasant. Their current boy is closer to the original, nearly the size of the modern "American Eskimo", though in deep brindle.
When I was about a year and a half old, Mom asked Dad to stop at the pet shop on the way home from work to pick up a 'parakeet' (budgerigar) for her. Being a good 1950s husband, that's what he did. At the shop, however, Dad paused to look at the puppies. The front window box was full of a litter of half-German Spitz (American Eskimo), half-Fox Terrier pups. All were white and muttley, except one mid-sized bitch, who was a beautiful pale blonde color, with a black muzzle and black rims around her ears. Long story short, Schatzi was the smartest dog I've ever met, and lived to be 19 years old.
