Why so many Alsatians? Because one resident at work had a dog named Mitzy and no matter what German Shepherd I draw, she thinks it looks just like her old dog and that makes her happy. There is a stack of these, mostly in ballpoint pen.

We have a GSD, but she looks nothing like this handsome pup. Not nearly as much fluff, especially since she's shedding. My in-laws named her Dallason (Dad wanted Dallas, after where she was born, and Mom wanted Allison, so they compromised xD).
