This picture's titled Comfort Zones.

Artistically, I think we all have them. Some are more engrained in their fear of learning something new than others are. Some have been trying so many new things, they don't know what's left to BE new for them TO try.

I'm trying not to be limited in my options.

I'm trying to expand my ability to make the images in my head INTO something on a canvas, be that canvas made of stretched material or pixels.

This picture is the start of that for me.
I DON'T Digitally Ink.
I DON'T Use color
I DON'T draw eyes without the big anime 'shine' in them
I DON'T use color theory
I DON'T digitally paint
I DON'T do anything other than cell shade, badly
I also don't draw dragons, or have any blue characters. ::laughs::

This is just a little preview. I know it's gonna take me a few days to finish this little guy, as I'm muddling through this kind of painting on my own.

My art's static...it has been for a while. I need to change that if I'm going to grow as an artist.

I've been dissapointed with my art for a while now. Now, I'm actually doing something about it.

This'll go into scraps later, hopefully when the real thing's finished.
