As you may or may not know, I'd recently posted a trio of 'photo-ops' from Sawgrass Recreational Park in the Everglades - all taken on April 2, 2016... but that wasn't the only place I went to that day...
Earlier on, I'd ventured (by bicycle) from my Margate, Florida condo to Lauderhill - where I'd attended the 23rd Anniversary Sale at Tate's Comics. Each year, the comic emporium has a special 'theme' for its annual sale; this year, it's the 'Old West'.
Loyal shoppers at Tate's had the golden opportunity of saving money by buying anything and everything in the store at 10% off, or going into a special tent in the parking lot and getting even bigger bargains on everything from old comic books (from the 1980 to the late 2000s), graphic novels, Japanese manga, action figures, DVDs and CDs, toys, boxed games, posters, and some unusually rare knickknacks...
And running the whole shabang itself was co-founder Tate Oteri - seen here, dressed up like a cowboy, next to an associate, dressed up like an Indian (or Native American, if you want me to be 'politically correct'). Judging by the clock behind the two of them, the western theme takes a beating, as they constitute a 'mash-up' of "The Lone Ranger" with "Back To The Future 3".
I'll have two more 'photo-ops' from this early April event (with yours truly) shortly. (And if you'd like to know more about Tate's Comics - and would like to see over 600 other snapshots taken at the 23rd Anniversary Sale - visit their website at http://www.tatescomics.com/ )

And that's just the 'flagship' store in Lauderhill, Florida. Tate's also has a second comic emporium located in Boynton Beach. If you are ever in south Florida, I'd highly recommend a visit to either store (or both). For more data, visit their website at http://www.tatescomics.com/
