I've been trying to mix some cut-out animation and frame by frame animation for a little while and I've finally managed to put together something that looks decent.

I was only barely able to make the cut out pieces and the frame by frame parts by downloading this and manually playing it slowly to see. That in and of itself is a testament to how smooth this looks at normal speed :)
