
Okay.. .NOT one of my better shots to be sure, but I was trying new gear ( the mini-tablet & new software ) for astrophotography.
ISO 3200 at 10 seconds. Used a 25 mm eyepiece (same one used with Jupiter photo's posted earlier) at the eyepiece focus of my 8 inch telescope.
At least the Hydrogen, Oxygen and interstellar dust is showing up. FYI the Orion Nebula is actually a reflection & an emission nebula.
Reflection, because it's reflecting the light generated by the newborn stars.
Emission, because it's getting energy from the newborn stars, and once charged up it re-emits that energy as a glow (think Florescent lamp in your house / office).
