I have been dabbling in painterly style for a while now.. but never taken the true plunge into merging layers to really create depth for it and such. I finally did, fighting my OCD along the way, and WOW. I am SO PROUD of this!

I've spent a good 14 hours or so on this, and I think it really shows.

Inspiration came from an artist I highly admire: danielleclaire @ dA

(P.S. I could not get the transparency to work on the background, so I just filled it in with the FA dark themed color. -.-; I will update the submission once support replies to my Trouble Ticket to help me resolve this strange issue.)
