u should practice a whole piece of paper (or two) just with hands. That might help =D

I'm going to have to use this as a tutorial and learn how to draw with Photoshop. I have CS3, but I've never used it but for pictures and such.

You use a tablet to draw with, correct?

Yep...it's possible to draw with a mouse, but it's 'legendarily' hard ;_;

I tried it, but it turned out as a fail. Theres a class I take that has maybe 6 tablets that you can use in that class, but I never have the time to draw anything in that class. I'd have to bribe the teacher into letting me borrow it so I could practice.
I can do this kind of art, i just need more dedicated time to practice.

Well, my tablet way, way inferior to any Wacom one, and was pretty cheap here...not that hard to get one ;D

On the practice side, i found that doodling anything at least daily is great :D

That's the luxury side of my school I guess. They are Wacom tablets, and they are very nice.

I find it hard to just doodle. It's the bad side of my perfection of art. Everything has to be perfect. I start to doodle, but I wind up making drawings like what I have on my profile. It's a personal thing I need to push myself to do.

I've gotten better at setting a base outline of what to draw before I draw it, however, like you do with the light grey. I've been drawing using that technique lately, and it's done it's magic pretty well. I just need to get to a scanner and scan my new drawings.

Damn, now that I think about it... I need to set up my computer system for more drawing and less gaming, lol.

I kinda have the same problem, took me a while to be able to doodle crappily and mindlessy. xD

Btw, I didn't use light grey there. I actually doodled with black on a layer, then created a new one and set the previous one to a low opacity ;)

Lol, I bought a new vidcard, used it for 2-3 weeks, now I barely game anymore. =D

Pencil and paper, you just mark rough lines messily, then erase. This is a good way to teach yourself how to doodle mindlessly, i found out. I also found a use for those Magic Rub erasers I keep finding. lol

Yeah, even me. I got tottally rough, then erase most of it, then go detailed :'D
