Intriguing! Very nice little surprise to find that the map is in the fur pattern on his back. I got the impression that there was something mystical about it, as if it would show a different map depending on what they needed to look for. He seems inexorably drawn to follow "the map", and she feels obliged to follow him on his wacky adventures.

Aye, I loved the references too! Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Joe vs. the Volcano, and others that I didn't quite recognize.

Yeah this was very much intended to have an Indiana Jones feel to it, despite the lack of action. I'm pretty sure I'm ticklish near Canacota too.

I couldn't help imagining this as something from an Indiana Jones movie.

Thank you. I do have a backstory for them, although for the Thursday Prompt I've been reusing them in different scenarios that don't have anything to do with their actual backstory. I just love the characters is all. Here's a picture of them, in case anybody was wondering.
