Besides, martens aren't widely known. Oh sure, everybody ELSE in my "family" (the mustelid family) is: weasels (sneaky, chasing chickens in farm houses), otters (cute and aquatic), ferrets (cute on the land, mousers in medieval times), badgers (smart but mean-tempered), wolverines (mean tempered, basis for the X-Man character), ermines/minks/sables/stoats (for their fur used in expensive coats for ladies), polecats (as a nickname for skunks, has similar defensive mechanism)...but not us.
So you're good.
And it is a good start.
