April Drawing is going on this month and for my 'Draw in another style' challenge, I thought I'd try drawing my character Spooky in the Margaret Keane 'Big Eyes' style. If you haven't seen the Tim Burton biopic "Big Eyes," I highly recommend it. Margaret Keane was the originator of the 'big-eyed waif' paintings popular in the 50s & 60s but no one knew it for over 10 years because her husband promoted them as *his* paintings. She had to sue in the end to regain her identity as an artist. Great movie, very serious, just a few bits of Burton wackiness.
