Here is the female turtle I pulled out of the concrete pond at the condo complex.

Hm, aside from the art block that has made me unable to draw for years...Turtles, gators and other reptiles of similar type are outside the realm of what I tend to draw, I'm afraid.
Same for most birds, bugs or the like.
I tend to do mammals only.
I have done some mythologicals, but those seem easier for me to deal with.
And I don't draw them often, in any case.
Its all a moot point unless or until the art block goes away, though.
I just can't draw anymore for reasons I cannot explain.
I would love for this to fix itself..I really want to draw again.
Its like being blind, or losing some other vital sense.
But I can't force it to get better.

WOOT!
RES for da WIN!
My last/current turtle is a Lady RES, Named 'Indy', for Independence Day, as I adopted/saved her on the 4th of July, 5 years ago.
Neighbors has some friends over, and said friends left their turtle with my neighbor. Who had her in their bathtub (BAD), and were going to release her into a local creek (VERY BAD!)... My landlady heard about this, and she knew I'd had aquatics before (the two I'd brought up from CA, when I left that State-of-Insanity over a decade ago), and that I knew how to take care of them properly.
I really, REALLY, didn't want to adopt another chelonian. They're AWESOME critters, but demands a LOT of TLC and no small amount of $$$ to properly care for...
But I picked her up from the black 5 gallon bucket she was brought to my house in, and when she looked at me....
I melted...
So, drug-out all my old gear, tank, stand, et al...
Yes, she has me wrapped 'round her rittle finger(z), and properly trained as a human caregiver should be!
Congrats on your little Lady, and I hope you both enjoy many long years of happy co-existence together!
