Corporal Anderst Khan watched in awe as the two titanic mechs squared off in a duel, The sound of their weaponry roaring above all the din of the surrounding battle.
An Atlas and a Kodiak... It was a true duel of Inner Sphere versus Clan. The two mechs were matched for tonnage, and carried similar weaponry. The Atlas was less armed compared to his Clan GhostBear opponent, but better armored.
Autocannon fire, short ranged missiles, and medium lasers flew between the two 'mechs, scrapping literally tons of armor from each other, especially as the car sized Autocannon 20 rounds pounded into each other. The sound was deafening, a war chant of the destroying Angel himself. The shriek of missiles, the howl of the cannon shells, the sizing of lasers... Each added to the cacophony of destruction that surrounded the behemoths.
The dance of death was entrancing to watch, like watching two immortal gods of battle warring with each other for eternity. At least, that was how it seemed to the infantryman.
Then one of the Kodiak's autocannon rounds slammed into the Atlas' arm, and in a second, the illusion of the 'mechs invulnerability was shattered as the Atlas' arm flew away from it, landing close to twenty meters from the mech, a true testament to the power of the weapons that these mechs were using.
The corporal's trance was soon broken by the shouting of his sergeant to get to cover. He snapped back to the war that surrounded him, and ran to cover. The duel of those mechs, just like the battle that he fought, were just another facet of this war. Across this battlefield, many more such duels would be raging.

All the atlas really has is a AC-20 and a LRM-20 both with two ton of ammo each. To top off its inadequacies it has a movement of 3-5.
All you have to do is stay at long range or out of range for the AC20 and its just a big target.
Here is my 3025 Atlas. Unlike the original mine is truly a terror.

Here is a 3025 upgrade of the Atlas
The LRM-20 and the SRM-6 both where removed and replaced with LRM-5 launchers. It was decided that a signal ton of ammo for the two LRMs was more than enough. Between the two LRM-5 launchers was placed a Large Laser.
Where the AC-20 was a PPC took its place with a bank of six Medium Lasers.
The Medium Lasers in the arms where removed. If the mech was going to make punch attacks it would not be good to have its short range weapons in the arms.
One of the Medium Lasers that where in the center torso facing to the rear was moved to the left torso and facing to the front.
To help with anti infantry work a machine gun was added to the head and a half ton of ammo for the machine gun was placed in the center torso where the medium laser was.
With the far more variety of weapons and less dependency on ammo using weapons it was thought that it would make the Atlas even more affective on the battle field.
One very big problem that a mechwarror could find his self in is with over heating if the pilot did not manage firing his weapons well.
If you could not guess that I was board, I was and wanted to do something. So here is what I did.
