Well, people asked.
It was fun to do not only cause of the technical aspect, but I want to showcase ARA's 'colder' side again; she's not 100% bubbly, but at the same time, this isn't really -meant- to be super creepy, it's just, well... ANYONE without their face would probably look super creepy.
Unless you think the top one is creepy too, then yeah, she's occasionally creepy.

As perverted as it sounds, this does make me wonder if her orifices actually go anywhere. Like, her exterior is made to look like a normal anthro cat, including sexual characteristics... but does she actually have a vagina then? Or is the vulva just a facade? I have so many questions! :P
Oh, I get what you're sayin' here. Believe me, I'm quite interested in her anatomy as well (from a technological standpoint of course). It intrigues me. Biological? Mechanical? Both? And I'm still thinking to myself... What's up with the level of realism and detail? Does a comm relay really need to have a vag?
The value of a piece of equipment rises when it is capable of basic self-maintenance, mobility, and autonomous response.
And anyone in marketing will tell you that "cute" sells even better. Add some adorkable awkwardness to pull it out of the uncanny volley, and you've got a winner.
Know what else sells?

But if something were to break under it, it might be more beneficial to be able to remove the skin than to have to rip it off.
After all, us "biological creatures" have a hard enough time stitching ourselves back together after a surgery, it'd be much less bothersome just being able to shrug out of your skin fix the issue and shlap it back on! =P

I mean having it field removable, rather than being fully sealed up. Getting a pebble down your sock is obnoxious, but imagine getting one under your skin, or worse, mud or sand. For military hardware with delicate internals, you usually want to trade of ease of repair, for resistance to infiltration of foreign contaminants.
For example, a US AR like the m16 versus a Russian AK. The more complex and tightly fitted AR's have designs to resist dust infiltration as much as possible, whereas the AK has less tight fittings, but is much more simplistic. Seeing as a humanoid mechanoid can't really be super simplistic inside, resistance is the best bet for longevity, unless you want to have to tear down and clean your robots in the field, or add weight with some sort of dust suit.

I guess it depends on which environment the androids are built to be in, if they are space-ship bound, I'd imagine they keep those ship as clean as possible and thus there would be very little dust. Androids wouldn't be the only thing technology advanced you'd want to keep clean and operational on a spaceship after all, if anything I'd expect the info relay station were Ara works to be a near sterile environment like those found in research labs. A good life support system should also help filtering most of the dust and other unwanted particles from the air.
In the field though yes, you'd probably want to send her out with a suit, or have the android be built specifically for roaming hostile environments, but from what I understand Ara's basically a Coms Relay Operator, she doesn't have much business outside the spaceship.
I'd also doubt that such advanced mechanoid wouldn't be build to resist most failure from small amount of dust getting under the skin, keeping all essential components way under would be the first way I'd go about it. For all we know there could also be some self-cleaning technologies available in their universe too, or anything faster than our current way of cleaning electronics, that would certainly make things a lot easier.
I guess the safest way to know though would be to either ask Fluff or ask Ara herself how does she keep herself clean, But I'm not a Patreon (Yet? I hope.) so I can only hope somebody else that is one ask a similar question. ^^

And now so many people who were attracted to ARA are now less so or even more turned on.
Nice work on all the details of the more mechanical parts, I think half of the problem with why some people don't bother drawing or designing robots and machines are because of all the lines and geometry they require, especially the innards of some. Some people half-ass it but your attempt looks quite...organic if I may use the word in a ironic sense. Parts of the face look to have actual purpose such as acting like muscles for the face to make expressions when the skin is on. It's well detailed and very fascinating to look at even if I find it somewhat unsettling.

What actually makes it creepy are the mouth/teeth more than anything else, at least to me.
It's interesting to see the little triangular bits that move about to let her give facial expressions. You don't really think about everything that would have to be done mechanically to make faces with robots like this until you take off the skin/outer covering.

Jeez, how many comments did I scroll past to get to the writing section, a hundred? Anyway...
I guess that after playing FNAF a few times, seeing animatronics without their "costume" isn't quite as frightening anymore. If anything, I marvel at her features. She looks awesome under that fur! <3

Everyone's sitting here, still fapping,
And I'm like "There's something familiar about that blue glow in the eyes and the circuitry.... Hmmm":

Maybe that's why she's saying you're gonna have a bad time.
Sorrynotsorry, could not help but think of husks, because of elements of familiarity to indoctrinated species :P

I just realized something. Your character Strype work as some sort of robotist, I'm beginning to imagine a creepy picture how his workshop look like: filled with boxes and crates of 'spare parts' (limbs, organs, hair/fur, and skins) and rows of inactive or lifeless robot endoskeletal bodies standing or hanging still in the dark, grinning and staring into the blank even some without eyeballs.
Oh man, that would freak out pretty much anyone, and given his sense of empathy, he'd be very uncomfortable. No, his workshop I imagine as being much cleaner and organized, with cabinets and drawers full of various parts arranged for easy identification and showcasing to prospective clients during consultations, and a few assembly tables with opaque plastic sheets that can cover up projects in process as to not distress any visitors. Janitor drones would keep the place cleaned and help with organizing
...dammit, now I want to plan out his workshop

Drones? (sometimes automatons). I forgot, the future has all kind of robots.
As you already know, there are different types of robots by design and purposes. The janitor drones you mentioned, I'm guessing they are just basic machines with basic intelligence work for one task.
Damn it myself as well for troubling you to draw.

You're a bit of a machine-geek, like me, aren't you?
...It should be noted that, as a huge Pumzie fan-boy, your gynoid commission of her is my all time Pumzie rendition, and my all-time favorite artwork from your gallery, as well. All that considered, though, even ignoring the fact that it's Pumzie it's one of your best purely mechanically-speaking.
Also, regarding the artwork here, a metallic skinless face is one thing, but a maliciously grinning face is something entirely different. The top is DEFINITELY the creepier one. Actually, it's the ONLY creepy one!!!

I have to say the top one scares me far more than the bottom one. Something about the eyes I think.
On the other hand the bottom one is kind of cool. I'd much rather her fur stay on but she's pretty neat without it. Does remind me of the Terminator series though or some reason

Actually I will say that the top picture does have some "uncanny valley" aspect to it that makes some of the details standout more as being 'off', the way the eyes are obviously different, the smile seeming a little too wide, and the curve of the eyes looks off to me. Then again im not artist so...could be im imagining it all. Still...Ara is still best space cat.

coments, this one will never get seen, but i cant complain cuz even i didnt read all of them lol, this is really really nice, like not because iim scaroused lol, but because of the detail and thought that went into the endoskeleton of ara, the detail is great, itd be cool if we could see some kind of schematics sheet, unless there already is one and i havent found it yet
Is it weird that I think the upper picture is more creepy than the lower one?
Maybe it's because she has that grin there, while the lower one is just missing an expression.
From the tumbnail I though this would be a lot worse but it's actually pretty interresting(from the technical direction).

i don 't know what was th fact that i loved:
Her Madara's Rape face
her under skin components or animatronic face (i don't know, that reminds me a lot FnaF xD)
or the reason that my question is in there... well no really, the third fact, the true one is, that disturb me for some seconds, after that i feel between hey i like it and hey i love this feeling/sensation xD
anyway, yeah, i love disturbing stuff (my friend know how is "rotten" my head xD)

Lack of skin is unsettling - but the only truly scary part here comes from her actively trying to be frightening, I think. Were she being cute, she'd still be cute even with her face off.
Though it's a little surprising that she can just up and pull it off like that impromptu. Skin's usually kind of important, and firmly attached. Makes me wonder how they avoided the uncanny valley in her appearance while still keeping it removable.

Not want........
I was expecting she have some sort of synthetic muscles underneath her skin similar to that of organic muscles. Or her body look that of an Organic but with synthetic materials.
I thought you said Ara robotic body mimics that of an Organic: breathing, eating/drinking, and even capable of having sexual pleasure.

I especially like how her smile is de-constructed with her skin off : the components are still there, but separated with the peeling off of the skin and the mouth/lips are over there while her teeth are [/i]here[/i].
She looks very beautiful with the skin off and the design is wonderfully detailed and pleasing to the eye. I hope, if it is your fancy, that some more depictions of her with some or all of her skin off may be seen.
