The story of this cartoon focuses on the accident prone Ferdy Fox trying to learn how to bake muffins, but with some silly Looney Tunes style gags on the way!
And now I'll ramble about the more boring stuff! It has been quite a wait since my last animation in Flash (five months!), but I felt it was important that I made something that at least had a reasonably decent plot to it. It is my third attempt at a full Flash cartoon, and while I think my efforts were a bit half-baked (no pun intended) compared to the last time I did an animated short, I think it has gone pretty well.
This was mainly an experiment I was working on so I could learn a new technique with drawing. The change is noticable after the opening scenes that the design of Ferdy progresses in this short, from my regular style to something that looks more akin to the Chucklewood Critters! Strange, but I am quite intrigued by the results.
Obviously some parts of it such as the walk cycle and a few other features could do with some improvement, but like I said, this was pretty much an experimental stage before I progress onto something better.

it was a good flash, i enjoyed it pretty much, i liked the facial expresions he made, the details like the lava lamp, and the way the story follows like a classical cartoon, (i always wanted more to see more foxes cartoons on the tv) the animation for me looked pretty good and decent. im no expert, but i think it just need more frame by frame instead of tweening, but i liked it very much. and nice "uphill struggle" cameo.
LOL! Very amusing. I think you've done a terrific job with the gags in this little short. I also noticed that 'Dundee: Cty of Discovery' poster that was on Ferdy's kitchen wall. Too bad the only thing he 'discovered' was not to use quick drying cement to make muffins with. I also noticed the two characters you used for 'An Uphill Struggle' are on a picture in Ferdy's living room wall too. You did an exellent job overall. ^_^
