This time it's breakbeat. The song is named after the looks of the playlist in fruity loops. There is a picture on the main felidae website of the playlist when finished: http://felidae-music.com/uploaded_i.....neplaylist.gif
I have 2 more tunes that only need effects-work and mastering. Valentines is coming up soon though. So ill probably make a cute song before that also. I hate valentines tho D:<
Btw, towards the end of this production my 3ghz quad core processor was choking like a bitch trying to play this. I guess I should make more simple songs.

20 + 3 plugins each? Sounds like you've got a terrible case of overcrowding, because I can't hear what would require 20 plugins running at once. You've got a couple different pads, a couple leads, an arp or two, and a bass. The arps can always be reduced to lower-power synths or hand-modelled sound waves with filters applied - your lead synth in particular, which is really just a saw wave.
As for three effects, I'd try to group your stuff together. route more than one synth through a single compressor, and things will sound less like they're all seperate elements. Same for reverb or delay - if more than one synth uses the same amount of reverb or delay, you can route them all through the same effect. You'll create a much more consistent atmosphere this way.
As far as any crits about this tune go, I'd recommend working with your triplet breakdown a little bit. Your notes are really janky around there and keep jumping from 12ths to 16ths to whatever, really.

For the main riff
The pads (2) are made up of 2 plugins
Then theres most of the percussion
Bassline is made of 2 plugins
The support-lead is made of 2 saws, 1 more screechy one which handles high-pitch and one more common
Then theres the eurogate thats just like the support-lead, made of 2 plugins, 1 for high pitch and 1 for lower, the higher is stereo-fading much (which can probably only be heard clearly through the calm parts)
2 plucks in the background
Acid arp
The lead sound is made up of 3 plugins to give it the sound I want
Plus some sound effects that pop in occasionally

Lord, that's ludicrous.
You should try using samples in place of some synths some time - particularly the bassline and percussion - using synths or VSTs for percussion just seems kind of silly.
As for leads, you should only have to use one plugin - hell, none if you make your own via a sample - to get the sound you want. Especially considering a lot of plugins (such as z3ta) allow a single patch to use 6+ soundwaves at the same time.
You're definitely overthinking your production, I think :]
I guarantee you if you cut down on your plugin count, you'll get a much cleaner sound, and one that has a lot more impact, especially on buildups and breakdowns. A lot of sounds =/= a good outcome :]

I dont use vsts for percussions, but mostly heavy sfx on them. And I know I could export the lead-sound to a sample but I figure that I have a good enough computer to usually handle it. Some day I might even get a real soundcard to help take some strain off of the processor.
And as for using many melodies at once its my style. If a track doesnt use 2 melodies I usually get bored after 2-3 listens and just throw it away. It just means there are no new parts to songs to discover after a few listens
