What about the insurance of the guy who hit you. It's their responsibility to make repairs to the vehicle he hits, unless the police decide that it wasn't his fault. If he was following so closely that he couldn't avoid hitting you, it's his fault your rear end was damaged.

That's good. I know that insurance companies are notorious about NOT paying even when they're supposed to.

not only did they pay me, but they told me the range for cars of that type/age and paid the higher price. Figure that one out.

Accidents are never fun. Insurance companies love totaling out cars because they nake money on auctioning them off to be stripped for parts.

I had a Kia Sephia I drove for 3 days after I hit an S10 pickup with the tailgate down. They took off after I saw them doing a drug deal.
