Introducing--the Wisher Angel Dragon Breed!
Yeeee!! <3
I wanted a reindeer-inspired bb, but I didn't want them to be a Dutch AD or a regular AD since I had a few hopes for her in particular. ;x; These are the first-ever Wisher Angel Dragons to be introduced. c:
Meet my Wisher Angel Dragon, and the first of her kind, Eridanus! (Left)
•Eridan's (for short) wish was to give someone a peaceful and painless death. She has already granted this wish.
The 2nd Wisher Angel Dragon is © freckledandspeckled. (Middle)
•This Wisher Dragon's wish was to protect someone.
And the 3rd Wisher Angel Dragon is going to go up for sale soon after this! c: (Right)
•This Wisher Dragon's wish has yet to be discovered... Will you figure it out?
Wisher Species Rules:
1. If you want to design a Wisher, you just have to follow the loose guidelines provided. <3 If you don't... Well, it kind of defeats the purpose, right?
2. Yes, NSFW work of your Wishers is allowed. HOWEVER...!!! I really don't wanna see it. So uh. Don't bring it to me, ok? Just keep it somewhere for your own eyes to see and enjoy! <333
3. Don't use someone else's Wisher without permission!!!!
4. Please do not sell/profit from any Wishers unless they're gifts, free, or design trades. Wisher ADs are meant to be wishes, and those aren't really things you can sell. <3 If you purchased a Wisher design from me, then you can resell it, but for no more than you paid for it. <3
Quick Species Q and A:
What's a Wisher Angel Dragon?
Wisher Angel Dragons are a sub-species of the general Angel Dragon that usually have large, rounded ears, short and commonly rounded snouts, and a large variety of pelts, coat colors, and more. C:
Wisher Angel Dragons are defined by their peculiar existences, as well as their desires and tokens!
What's so special about these guys?
Wishers are a species of Angel Dragon that are "born" from the stars; whenever a wish is made upon a star, and if the hope for that wish is strong enough, a Wisher Angel Dragon will fall to the Earth to embody, and hopefully grant, that wish. Their large ears help them hear wishes better. Wishers bring a special object with them, called a token, that serves as their "halo" or key to return to the heavens.
What's a token do?
A token holds the individual Wisher Dragon's powers! The token can be a marking on the Angel Dragon, an object they always carry around, a decoration, animals, and more. Tokens are described to be the embodiment of the Wisher's soul, as well as the core of their powers, and are carefully guarded as a result. The powers granted depend upon the wish that was made, and tend to be somewhat limited to that wish in particular (I.e. If someone were to wish for help while lost or stranded in the wilderness, the Wisher it summoned could be able to control fire or weather).
Powers?
Wishers enjoy a multitude of powers, but very rarely have the ability to do things on a largely destructive scale. No Wisher Angel Dragon can grant the gift of life, or an early naturally-occurring death. The most they can do is provide emotional and atmospheric alterations, elemental manipulation, boost luck, and more.
Most Wisher Angel Dragons are considered to be signs of prosperity and good fortune.
Traits or attributes?
The issue with identifying a Wisher Angel Dragon mainly revolves around the fact that the species is utterly diverse.
Traits that are good particular hints towards whether the dragon in question is indeed a Wisher, is to check the size and shape of their ears, see if they're hiding an object on them or nearby, or check to see if they have wings, or multiple pairs of wings. Or, if all else fails, ask them!
Wishers have a wide range of vocal capabilities, depending on the individual, which can range from verbal speech, to the sounds of almost all animals, the gentle sounds of nature, or even the sounds of an instrument!
Most Wisher Dragons don't require food as sustenance (they are made of stardust, after all!) but enjoy it nonetheless!
And although it's extremely uncommon, some Wisher Angel Dragons have genitalia, most commonly attributed to particularly specific wishes.
Different Wisher Angel Dragon Types?
There are two types of Wisher Dragon: the Fallen Wishers and the Celestial Wishers.
•Celestial Wisher Angel Dragons are simply Wisher Dragons that have granted or are still granting their given wish, and are capable of traversing in-between the heavens and earth as they please after granting their first wish. They can continue to grant wishes, but are capable of traversing larger distances and taking on even more challenging wishes as they continue to experience and age.
•Fallen Wisher Angel Dragons are the Wisher Angel Dragons that were, for whatever reason, unsuccessful in granting their wish. Usually, these Fallen Wishers rejected their wish (wishes to do harm, evil, etc.) or lost their token, for whatever reasons. These Wishers are unable to leave the earth until they can retrieve their token, find another token, or until their wish-maker passes away.
More to be added, but that's all there is for now! <3 Enjoy! c:

Sorry, that's just kinda how I draw them! ;v; (It's the tooniness-style thing that does it. <3)
I haven't gotten around to doing the sketches yet, but they actually have quite a different anatomy and structure to them, but my toony style kind of makes it difficult to tell the differences. X'P
I'd love to hear what ideas you have, though~!

Dude this is going to be so much fun! I really like the concept behind them and can't wait to do something with my baby. I'm thinking of making his story a little mini comic cause those are fun.
I still kinda wish they weren't related to the whole Angel Dragon group since there's been so much discord between different parties. And I say this because I know it takes its toll on you and you want to not get terribly involved but still. Regardless though I understand why and I hope the community at large takes them in ^^

I am immediately in love with this! I've never really liked other angel dragon species because too many of them look too similar to dutchies, and while these to look very similar, I love the concept and story behind them as well as their more caribou-like anatomy.
I'm gonna have to make one or two!

;v; I'm so glad you like these guys!!! <3
I'd love to see them once you design yours! <333
And I'm actually working on their anatomy sheet right now. X'P They actually look really different from the Dutchies when mapped out via bones and musculature and less chibi-esque! <3

That first design looks very similar to
mother_bucking_mirin Twinzies?

For the past while I was trying to think of a back story and general info on a DAD of mine. But some things just didn't seem to fit with the DAD Rules and such. And yes a misfit of like 1 or 2 things are fine and all but the list is up to like 9... I'd get a bit of hate for calling it a DAD. Or even a Angle dragon period. Anyways with these rules and guide lines there isn't anything wrong! Even the original backstory I thought of for her STILL corresponds with this. Just one question. For some reason I like things to have a bit of power so If they cant do much by them self, I give them a weapon(s). IRL I use a Scythe as my main 2 hand and Dual Katanas For 1 or 2 hand. And So that's what the OC will get and be good at. So my mind after a while was like "An ANGLE dragon with a SCYTHE?." So before I start writing and drawing, I'd like your thoughts for either A DAD or WAD with a Scythe. If you want ref of what I'd be talking about, I drew one here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21638986/ .
The scythe being the token is most likely the token for them. I always just thought of a scythe with an angle dragon being an oxymoron. Anyways thanks for allowing it! The Wishers story is still in the works but most likely the wish would involve protecting the human. And well the magic isn't that strong sooo... Speaking of that, random (ish) but what do you think would/could be the most largest thing they could use they're magic for? I'd just like to know where the scale ends. Thanks!
