I had planted this bulb four years ago. Nurtured it and kept the leaf cutter ants away from it as it slowly grew. I had felt sort of down until my kids came bouncing in from picking the black berries that we grow.. And tugged me out of bed to see this.

Small things and victories in the day to day life that we all pause to gather around, a flower blooming, the birth of a child, realizing that you don't need a fancy ring to win her over.


Those little day in and out victories make you push onward throughout life.
