The Majestic Animu Bird is not an endangered species but a rather annoying one.
It's loud screeching call "Desu Desu Kawaii Kawaii" can be heard for miles around. It's an ear piercing sound and has caused many cases of deafness, usually due to the listener jamming a fork into their ear.
The animu bird's life span is unknown but it is believed to only die when it lacks stimulation from outside sources such as The Anime Network and Tumblr. It's main diet consists of Pocky, strawberry flavor preferred and it does not drink water only Mizuki Ramune Soda.
It is very rare that this species finds a suitable mate due to the fact that mating habits are based on the amount of anime and manga paraphernalia that the partner has. The easiest way to kill this bird is to prove that Naruto is not based on real life ninja like they so desperately believe, forcing them to commit 'hari kari' with the dull edge of a Dragonball Z movie.
If this species does actually find a suitable partner to breed with it lays dozens of eggs that are bright magenta/pink with purple spots. All these eggs are laid because the bird is a horrible parent and are lucky if even one survives out of the dozens of eggs before it leaves the nest. They build nests out of whatever they can find, they will use twigs and grass but they prefer to use brightly colored things like straws or the dumb frilly grass stuff you find in easter baskets... these birds will try to actually nest in children's easter baskets mistaking it for their own nest brooding the fake eggs while their actual eggs sit feet away and die out.
This species is prevalent only because it and it's eggs taste awful so there are very few predators who will even bother to try to eat it unless they are starving. Impressive for a bird that is too dumb to even run when confronted by anything.
These birds are brightly colored and despite their wings they cannot fly. Science does not know how this bird's wings even exist as they just kind of float there. It's assumed to be caused by anime magic. Colors and marking can vary but it's always bright and clashing colors.
