Coverrrrr!
It took me a while to decide what I wanted for this, and then I realized I had drawn something similar to this years ago and that it would make a great cover. So! Here we go!

Nice cover to a beautifully executed series of images, but what struck me as odd was that in this one image the great canine monster seems to have a white, fur covered nose instead of the darker, more typically furless, lupine nose in all of the subsequent panels.
A thing that struck me odd with the storyline, was that the human is dressed in modern era clothing, yet he intends to somehow kill some giant carnivore with only a knife? The only logical explanation seems to be that he must be mentally deficient and the woman (girl friend, mother?) is deliberately trying to get rid of him, knowing he could do nothing against such a dangerous animal with such puny weapon. If this isn't the case there should probably be some explanation why he wouldn't have a gun. I think the whole thing would seem more believable if set in an earlier period. I would recommend the stone age, otherwise a big furry critter like this would not be all that dangerous in a world of powerful firearms, or even powerful crossbows. (This is why scale-armored dragons are usually the more typical formidable monster in these scenarios as a furry, unarmored beast can so easily be killed with the weapons humans have).
While the story promises to be about a deadly, voracious predator, and we already see some blood, I am a bit skeptical about this since the claim is that the human somehow 'lives' with this creatures. Apparently it must regurgitate him before he succumbs to the inhospitable gastric environment, and he becomes the monster's pet, or toy, we can imagine constantly being swallowed and upchucked to satisfy the fetish side of this. Will the creature actually consume and digest other people and why not this one, that actually came to kill him/her? It will be interesting to see where it goes from here.

I haven't finished enough pages for you to understand the story yet, so don't worry. Every single thing you mention has been covered. I would explain it all, but... that's sort of the point of making the comic. ;) But I'll at least hit the ones I've mentioned elsewhere:
Yup Mort has a silly bunny nose. He doesn't have a species, he's pretty much one of a kind.
Noah comes from our world and is looking for his sister, who was dragged into some alternate world by magic forest spirits (or something) and so he chased after them. He's woefully underprepared, completely in the dark about where he is, and what he's dealing with.
As for the rest of it, many of my earlier images have bits about the story that I peppered about while I was working out details, so you can check those out if you're interested. Otherwise, all will be explained in time! :)
