A Steven (Alternate) Universe comic based on the fanfiction of the same name.
A fantasy world in which Gems aren't quite the same creatures that we're used to, Peridot is a young sorceress living in a small valley town at the foot of a mountain, deep in the territory of an elusive creature people know only as The Guardian. She and Lapis, a mischievous witch and close childhood friend, dream of a life of adventures and riches together, but these dreams are brought to a screeching halt when Peridot's name is drawn at the centennial Culling Festival.

Chosen as the live sacrifice and bound by loyalty to her home, Peridot heads towards the monster's lair to fulfill their pact and ensure it's continued protection... Though no one seems to know exactly what that entails.
