Whoa! Juts whoa! XD I really wasn't expecting this, I love your take on design of her. You've done her so well. I really find the sad expression on the side you did for her so cute! The poses for each one is great. You did such a nice job with all the metal, I adore the tails though, fab! <3 This is a surprise I must admit lol. no prob, glad you like it I did up the character expressions after I read your description of Metal Michelle (the sad expression helps to visualize the inner turmoil that is present in the character) and felt it was better for her to show a wide range of emotions to make the character seem more alive despite the fact she is a machine.

Her tails where kind of tricky as I was thinking of making them into some kind of weapon system but ultimately I settled for a similar segmented armor plating style for the tail to ensure it was rigid yet flexible.

I'm glad you gave her a different expression, after what she went through and is a corrupted machine but is still alive. She's just so confused so even her emotions would be form turning angry to sad or happy or just plain normal. I do agree the tails must of been tricky since I struggled with them in her mecha form. XD

glad I'm not the only one who has trouble drawing tails As for Metal Michelle, when you say corrupted, do ya mean something like a virus or damaged programing or are you talking about the inability to handle/ control her emotions?I would imagine it would be quite difficult given the fact she is a machine and therefore hasn't had the ability to develop them gradually, of course this is all just theory on my part (she's your character so only you would know ) Another question is that since you said that she is neither good or bad does that mean she is capable of killing someone without hesitation? or is she more likely to flee from a battle (Sort of like an extreme fight or flight response) And when you stated earlier how quickly she can shift from one emotional state to the other, what would her normal state be (contemplative, thoughtful, maybe a little bit of apprehension or caution?(much like a restless animal)

Sorry for asking all the questions, after reading you description of her on your DA page,I find that she has a lot of potential to be a very interesting character (most metal copies are generically evil, while Metal Michelle seems to only be frightened and confused,and unable to really understand what she is or what she is capable of, but given her fragile state she is a danger to herself and everyone else.

Just my two cents on the whole thing, sorry for the long rant

By corrupt I mean she corrupted her data. Shes able to move and walk and talk but shes in a state of confusion. She doesn't know whats good and what bad, so the poor girl is easily manipulated to do bad things and always ends up in a state of confusion thinking did I do good or bad? Shes get defense if someone raises a hand at her reayd to attack, because she can;t tell what person is good and bad. So she's totally mixed up XD

Shes able to hurt someone but only by accident and then she'll think 'was that wrong?' because it depend show the person reacts to her. If she gets hurt or betrayed by a person becaus ethe manipuated her she will think 'what did I do? I thought I was doing good..' So she has abit of confused trust for people as well. The old one had no personality, but the new one did. Eiether way it doens't matter because you still did an aweosme job doing your own mecha version of her <3.

As for shifting emotions, probably quite quickly. Because she doesn't understand things if someone tells her off she'll be sad. But return to normal if they say sorry, or she'll remain with a blank expression at something she doesn't understand. Always questioning herself in her head. Naah your not ranting hun and I like answering questions. But you are correct she is a confused frightened robot who does things by accident and means no harm. Only because of her creator she WAS gonna be evil, but when she woke up during her data being progresse dinto her, she paniced and wrecked the whole machine even the lab. So she corrupted herself thus she did not become evil in the end, just neutral and needs answers and input for herself.

so basically what your saying is that she is unable to comprehend the differences between what is generally good and bad. I think you pretty much answered most of my questions thought their is one more. Is she capable of learning the differences between the two and if so would that result in her becoming somewhat stable, or is her system so corrupt that she is beyond help?

from the last bit of your reply I get the impression that deep down she is a good person and simply needs help from someone who genuinely cares and not just using her for their own selfish ends.

Shes not that point where she so corrupt she can't learn. She can still learn but someone needs to teahc her and give her input, basically train her to learn what is good and what is bad. So yes she is capable to become stable again but only if a caring person teaches her so and is willing to put up with her little accidents. But at the same time she means no harm. Yeah..the poor girl could do with a hug XD.

thanks, though now that you say that it's got me thinking. When it comes to robotization art I see most artist renditions of robian characters they tend to have sections of their armor that where once clothing, but in actuality would the clothing become robotized as well?, I guess you could say that since the clothing could be made from organic materials (cotton, wool, etc) that it would become metal along with the rest of the victim, but I was always under the impression that it only affects the genetic code of an living organism. But since Metal Michelle is an actual robot then you could just say she was built to have the appearance of wearing clothing.

Kinda makes you wonder if synthetic material would be left alone then... Of course I could see the process completely shredding any and all clothing as well... I dunno, I like the easy way out myself: just say it's a paint job

Man, you, Lockon, and chaoscroc are just..man..awesome at drawing sonic style mecha. I used to be pretty profcient with drawing Sonic styled works, but I got out of that because I wanted to come up with my own style (Which is damn near impossible these days, as oe style tends to look much like another) But yes,I really like this pic. Faved, and you be watched.
