I had an argument with myself.
My beloved poem and music composition from middle school,"Forever's not real" clashes with my latter track, "Am I Lonely?"
This is what I ended up with.
---To Protect You From Myself---
I guess that we were
only faking.
I should’ve known since
it was obvious.
You were lying.
People know that,
“Forever's Not Real."
To you love is
an experiment.
I hoped that, maybe,
you knew better.
You’re another reason
how I know I’m right.
“Forever’s Not Real”

will die
or find a place
where I don’t have to
purge anyone,//

...then...
...maybe stop hurting myself by
believing that an absolute
purity exists in this corrupt earth…//
Let me save myself
from this affliction.
Let me BACK AWAY
from your presence.

Don’t get too close.
Let me remind you,
“Forever’s Not Real”

I DON’T CARE WHAT THEY SAY.
I'm better off, anyway,
