(damn how tf do you draw an otter???it took me like an hour to sketch his face.

(this is going to be a long read! please turn back if you don't want to read anything!)
so this is a fan art of the gay visual novel "echo".
it's a story of a guy having reunion with his old friends in their home town they grew up with.but things get pretty messy later in the story.
you can check it or support them in here.

the theme on this one is the obsession of the character leo (wolf) toward chase (otter).
leo looking out if someone would steal chase from him and chase's hands are "tied" on leo.well not really, it's actually hugging his neck.i just want it to look 'symbolic' and picturing chase's fate tied to leo. (know what i'm saying?)
if i want to say i have a fetish, it would be obsession.
thinking that leo having obsession toward chase just make my heart flustered.
i know it's weird.that's why i said it as a fetish.i should be creeped out hearing someone (hot) obsessed with someone else (who look normal), but i'm not.
seriously, i've played several visual novels in my life and this is the one which i crazed over!
if you are a gay guy, please give a read on this VN!
if you are a girl who likes gay stuff, please give a read on this VN!
it confuses me, what makes this VN so fantastic to me? there are 3 speculations.
1.the writing.the script in the game is very natural.i'm having fun reading them like it's making me want to read more.so when the 'to be continued' screen bumps out, it kinda bummed me a little bit.well i give +1 with the writing.but is it really that? some several visual novel has the same concept of writing.they tried to make the characters act as they should to continue the story.isn't it natural? but it bores me to death...
look at katawa shojo.i tried to play them since it was a critical acclaimed VN out there.me playing them felt bored just reading them doing some dull stuff.eating in the roof, reading in the library, running in the race track.i haven't continue them since.so is it the writing i'm searching in VN? what makes echo so fun to read but not katawa shojo? well maybe the writing it self is different between each others.that's why i like echo so much.i don't know.
2.The genre.i like mystery.and horror.mystery and horror.see the chemistry?
3.it's a fucking furry visual novel.the sprites especially.back again with katawa shojo but this time linked with morenatsu.if you have played morenatsu you know the story is not really engaging but it's really fun playing it! you can see the prove on how much i love morenatsu in my gallery.
it has the same setting as katawa shojo.doing dull stuff like going to the beach, playing with friends, camping with friends, etc.sounds boring right? but no i enjoyed it to the last click i played it.so i think what made me liked morenatsu so much despite it having dull stories is because of the sprites.i am a gay furry.the sprites are a big bara hunky furries.you can guess why i liked morenatsu so much.try imagine if the sprites were replaced by cutey, beautiful, girls.i don't think i'd like them.
(but i don't know.i like some human sprited VN too, like umineko no naku koro ni.well at least the writing are not boring.)
so yeah, i really don't know what makes this VN so enjoyable to me.just enjoy what you enjoy i guess.

I'll admit, I never thought I'd read this VN until I found its patreon page a few weeks ago and I'm so emotionally invested in this story and its characters!
You're also on Team Leo?? AWESOME! Glad I'm not the only one :')
Have you tried Blackgate yet? It's another VN that it's quite good, actually :)

Tigers and Wolfs, man. They're just so hard to resist!
Just look at Alin from Blackgate and Leo from Echo. I haven't played Morenatsu but I'll try and see if I can play it xD
These guys who keep making this sort of VN just inspire a lot of people to start their own visual novels. I just wish I could draw and draw well enough xD
