We made this painting the moment we heard that our friend got fucked over in a motor-cycle crash. She lost her leg. Well, pinkie pie was her favorite pony so I thought that would be a start for a get-well card.

Both of us had, by now, well-understood the burden of a tragic situation by this time. I came to see this woman in order to tell her that she needed to survive the spit that fate sprayed in her face that night. Losing your leg, as a young woman, is certainly devastating. Missing out on the future, though, would be much worse as far as I was concerned - and it's something I have great reason to fear in regards to myself. When it was over, I feel as though she may have wondered what the fuck I actually know about survival or devastation? It's not like I could very easily have told her about it - and that's where this story had to painfully halt for now.

That said, she's surviving and doing fine for herself.

As for me, I may or may not survive mind control, but i'll sure as hell paint stuff until I meet my fate. It's kind of like, "nothing ventured nothing gained" Right?
