This was second of recent commissions to commemorate fun times with friends.

This is from a camping trip in Joshua Tree National Park in early october 2014. The weather was near perfect, hot but not humid during the day and in the shade it was quite comfortable. At night it got cool and was good fire weather. I'd never been camping in the desert before, though had visited the park a couple of times. Getting to camp out there was a trip, especially with good friends.

I love the desert landscape. We got to hear some coyotes howling near sunset. And there was a full moon, so it was possible to see without a flashlight at night. So magical and cool.

From left to right it's Phil the raccoon, Leonid the chinchilla,  thornwolf the dog and  skorzy the rat.

The artwork is by  starling. I love how she captured the landscape and the warm, fun mood of the scene.
