"With Arceus' power, he fought rather well, despite being a Riolu. We were about to get the ninth type plate, but apparently Giratina decided to guard the Dark plate by himself. He called us "troublemaker", and called Illusion "Arceus' pitiful attempt to stop me". He got rid of me without any problems-- what power! -- before trying to take care of Illusion..."

"Illusion ended up losing, but not without wounding Giratina. While he tried to draw the holy power from Illusion, I used my last Warp Stone to make the both of us escape. Back to the temple, we started questioning Illusion's power. He's been fighting for a while, each foe stronger than the previous. I thought he reached the maximum potential he could get out of this form - which should have caused him to evolve, yet the evolution never happened. But then I remembered : since it took five years for Arceus to turn him into a Riolu with his powers, it must take also a considerable amount of energy to allow him to evolve. Except this time, we didn't have five years to wait. Everybody that could be rescued were here, in the temple... Only Illusion can banish the evilness from controlled Pokémons, which made him a mandatory element to rescue others. I can't do that. So what could we possibly do?"

"It was then that I found out an old stone in the temple, stating that Arceus also left a power orb long ago, an orb that contains raw energy, surely enough to make Illusion evolve. As a Riolu, it is starting to get difficult, so we need him to evolve. For future's sake. So we went out looking for it..."

"...Once in the temple, power orb under the shoulder, Illusion quickly decided to evolve ASAP. Even after hearing it'll take 72 hours to fully evolve, he smiled and said : "I'm not worrying, since you are here to keep us safe.""

"Those words... did reach my heart. Of course, I was fighting alongside him, but... I could barely keep up and ended up thinking I was a burden to him. He didn't so much think he would be a hero without me to watch his back... Heh heh."

A little something for my buddy He got several of his his A-Riolu forms, but none of his A-Lucario forms.

- The bead he used to have as a Zoroark became a legband as a Riolu, and got another one on the other legs. As a Lucario, those became the "shoulder weights" (correct me if I'm wrong)
- His other eye is red and allows him to perceive Aura.
