I've been studying other artist's artwork lately, and I've been trying to absorb as much as I possibly can to add to my own art and try to force myself to improve. I wanted to take everything I learned and throw it into one image. I tried to be very detailed, expressive, and I'm trying to work on my lineart and coloring, to improve the quality.
I always look at the art from artists I have watched.
Rarely do I find it necessary for me to comment.
You have provided me with an exception to the Rule. This is stunning. Brilliant. Anatomy is perfect, details are spot-on, what can I really say? It's literally perfect as far as I can tell. It leaves me without proper words.
Please, never stop drawing. Watching your art improve has been an honor, and seeing it now is a pleasure.
Worth mentioning, I love the face in particular.

I'm gonna tell you now, I love it.
I was a little apprehensiveat first, because I've seen your commissioned work and I tend to shy away from the cutesy stuff, especially for my characters. You caught her personality though, and I couldn't be happier with how this is going about. You really have improved, a lot. So keep it up you silly woman.

If no one gives me a personality, I go with cutesy. ^^; It's the only way I know. But you gave me a sexy character, with a sexy pose and a sexy attitude, and I did what I could. ^^ I'm beginning to prefer the more sexy and serious type characters as well. I want to draw more art like this. <3
T... This is the best picture. I'm not going to say ever out of you but it most certainly is up there. I actually never expected something quite like this out of you, and as said above it is a pleasure to see. It makes me really happy I do watch you. recently you've been spittin' out some really great pieces. <3
Oh wow, that is simply.. stunning.. o.o
I don't blame you on not wanting to color it, it is a gorgeous piece as is.
As I am still getting acquainted with art and such and how things are done.. could you not color it digitally?? At least to see what it looks like I mean. =]
*goes off to doodle and practice some more*

huh?
No, I would love to see this colored. I think I may have misunderstood your descrip tho, you said you don't want to color. I just meant to copy this as another pic or something and color there, see what it looks like, so if you end up not liking it, you have your other copy still safe off to the side.
Regardless tho, this is an awesome picture.

Well, I save all my files as PSD, with the lineart on a different layer than the color, so if at any time I want the lineart, I can just save it as another file with just the lineart. :] I will end up coloring it though, since it was a paid commission. I just hope I like it as much as I like the inked version.
Ah, I understand. ^_^
I am still trying to get good at line-arting anything. I suck horrible where bodies are concerned.. =S And have not figured out muzzles.. got a coloring book from 101 dalmatians, was told it would help if there were no colors interfering and stuff, and it looks like it might. ^_^
Anywho, very, very eager to see this colored =]

I think it's important to focus on anatomy before you even think about inking and coloring. :] If you can make beautiful sketches, that's much more preferable than if you have badly drawn body parts but beautiful colors and inks. If you want my suggestion, use many, many references and pick and choose areas that you need to work on. ^^ When you're comfortable with that, then you could move on to whatever else you're interested in. Anatomy is definitely the most important. :>
oh yes, I know. ^_^
I really need to work on everything. I can sorta draw cute bunny and kitty faces.. but that is the extent of it.. I can, for the most part, draw anything I can see and maintain looking at, in a larger scale. I am trying to get myself to where I don't have to see it to draw it. At this point tho, I am starting from scratch, and working my way up. ^^
And thank you muchly for the tips. Anything helps. =3

I like the legs, and you’ve handled the sandals well, particularly for a digitigrade stance. I find that digitigrade legs tend to yank my disbelief suspenders, partly because a lot of artists don’t handle them gracefully and partly because they don’t work biomechanically for a biped, which is why humans are plantigrade. The fact that you’ve managed to overcome that, at least to a degree, is a mark of how effectively you’ve rendered them, particularly the muscle definition.
Something bothers me obscurely about the face. I’m not sure I can pin down exactly what, in part because so much of it is obscured—which is not a bad thing in itself; some very effective pin-ups do exactly that. I think it has to do with the placement of the muzzle and the way the face seems a little . . . hm, scrunched vertically. Still, it’s a minor niggle, and this is very well done just as it is.
